How did you get into fitness/competing?
My husband had decided to compete in his first show in May 2012 right after I had just graduated from nursing school.  I went and supported him and had an awesome time but was content on being in the crowd cheering him on.  Then a good friend of mine, and IFBB Figure Pro, spoke with me and convinced me to at least try one and since then I have been competing.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
My social life is limited as I work nights as it is.  So when I do have a night off, I like to relax and spend it with my husband.  I make my fitness more of a priority than my social life, plus, I prefer it that way.  My Saturday night out consists of getting a gym session in with my hubby haha.  Every now and then we go out with friends and take the day off to have some fun, but it’s a lifestyle that I love and enjoy.

I have run numerous half-marathons, marathons and completed one ultra-marathon. I was a gymnast growing up and was also a high school cheerleader. Not really a girly, girl…but love the stunting part of cheerleading. I have always loved lifting weights and being strong. I was also on the powerlifting team.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
Honestly I have always been into fitness and working out. I can remember in the 4th grade riding my bike to an aerobics class at the YMCA, I thought that was fun (and normal??). Running is really my passion. It is my time to think, de-stress, dream and goal set.

So why did I stop running and start competing? I ran the Boston Marathon in 2012. When I crossed the finish line I felt accomplished, but had pretty much reached all my running goals and wanted a new challenge. I also didn’t like what running marathons had done to my body. Most of my muscle mass had changed from the gymnast sprinter look, to the long lean muscles of a distance runner.

So I decided to take on the challenge of competing in a figure competition!!  A little over a year… here I am an IFBB figure pro and ProSupps Brand Ambassador.  This journey has been HARD to say the least. It is a mentally and physically tough sport. Probably the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.

It absolutely blows my mind what proper nutrition, training and supplementation can do to the human body. It is a work of art. That is why I love it so much.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
When I first started competing I found it hard to find balance. I thought my “life” was over.  Proud to report I still have a social life and I work full time, do demos for ProSupps and train on the side. It is all about time management!!! I look at my workouts that NEED to get done for the upcoming week and I also look at major events going on that week and plan accordingly. Everything goes down on a calendar. Even my hubby knows when and I am working out that day. It is not a matter of if I get the workout in….it is when I get the workout in.

When I started this lifestyle was hard to have a social life because it seems things center around drinking and eating in our culture. I still go to social gathering that involve this and I even partake in some naughty food. It’s all about balance. I plan my cheats. Yep, even those go on the calendar. Of course there are different parts of the year that are more and less strict. For me the holidays…friends and family come first.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
After college football was done with and I graduated I wanted something to work towards like a goal just so I wasn’t in the gym just lifting weights because all my life I have trained for events so why not continue it.   In January I decided I was going to compete in men’s physique and April 12th of this year was my first show and I fell in love with it.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
I think over the past  year my social life and my fitness life have combined into one because training for shows you surround yourself with positive people on the same track as you with the same vision.  Fitness is my life and I surround myself with people that are like minded in one way or another so I’ve been blessed to have the two intertwined.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
My husband Josh, when we met he was actually getting ready for his second bodybuilding competition. Being in that atmosphere I was instantly hooked and knew I wanted to do something in this industry! Not to mention during this time I was diagnosed with Lupus. I was showing signs of kidney failure, retaining 30-40lbs of water weight, and was seeing all sorts of specialist to find out what was going on. My doctors recommended I take diuretics and steroids to help, I knew this wasn’t an option. I worked in the health industry at the time and knew I didn’t want to become defendant on medications.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
Balance what’s that??! Lol Honestly I don’t have a social life. But I do have a family/fitness life! The way to make it work is to always put family first. Between managing our gym, training clients, running kids to gymnastics and sports practices, homework/school, chasing a toddler and everything else in between we follow a pretty strict schedule to make sure we have enough time in the day to accomplish everything we need. I always think of the quote “He who fails to plan, plans to fail.” So PLAN PLAN PLAN!!

How did you get into fitness/competing?
I was always fit and wanted to show myself I could dedicate myself to competing however a car accident in 2014 left me partially paralyzed with brain injuries and back problems. With this obstacle and the onset of seizures I was more determined than ever to not only prove to myself I could come back stronger but teach others that sometimes when you come to a roadblock all it takes is a little persistence and a lot of determination and you can find a detour.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
Very carefully! I try to make it fun. A Lot of my friends lift so a lot of the time I will pass up the party and club scene to focus on my goals with like minded individuals I meet in the gym and at shows.

I look up to every single athlete and competitor that has dedicated their lives to not only following their dreams but working to positively impact others along the way.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
I moved to Australia when I was 19 and lived with a personal trainer and a chef who pointed out all my unhealthy habits which really opened my eyes. When I moved back to America, I kept the healthy habits I had adopted until I turned 21 and started working for a craft beer company. I quickly gained weight and then joined an all-women’s gym where I started learning aerial arts, mainly pole fitness. I grew to love working out but knew I needed to do more to get the results I wanted so I started researching what more I could do to improve and that is when I found fitness model Ingrid Romero. I contacted her in 2012 and Ingrid and Joe DiScuillo encouraged me to compete in my first bikini competition and they have been helping train me ever since.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
Fitness is a big part of my social life, and I tend to travel a lot to fitness-related events and enjoy those kinds of vacations. When I’m home, I workout when I need to and bring my meals with me when I leave the house. Planning is key, and honestly none of my friends care if I’m eating or drinking the same things they are so there is no reason to change that.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
I’ve always been a very active person, so lifting weights has always been a part of my life, but nothing to the extent of maintaining the lifestyle of an athlete.  I met my mentor & coach, Diego Botasso, “TeamEFT1″ at the Gym where I workout.  He approached me and asked if competing has ever crossed my mind.  I researched more about it and I loved the idea.  He warned me once I competed would become an addiction, and sure thing, I love being on stage and prepping to succeed.  I can’t thank him enough for introducing me to this sport and guiding me through this amazing journey which I believe is just the beginning of my future as an athlete.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
I don’t go out much since my social life consist mostly of fitness related activities.  I enjoy waking up early and having energy to have a productive day.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
After college softball I wanted to continue to stay active and live a healthy lifestyle. The gym quickly became my favorite addiction and a huge passion of mine. It was something I fell in love with and helped me cope with many things in my life, it was my therapy. My favorite style of exercise is weight lifting. I also love to stay active outdoors and participate in certain activities including, snowboarding and hiking.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
Balancing my social life and fitness life is something I have struggled with in my past. For me it was one or the other, and took a lot of trial and error on my part. I have finally found away to make the gym and healthy living part of my life instead of my whole life, and because of that I am a much happier person all around.

How did you get into fitness/competing?

From 2011-2012 I experienced the hardest time of my life, which made me fall in love with fitness that much more. The deepest pain often empowers you to grow into your highest self. I went from being gluten-intolerant to not being able to eat anything without being in pain. I spent multiple days a week at the doctors getting tests done and was prescribed every medication possible. My doctor prescribed me medication used to treat Parkinson’s Disease, because it would “stop the muscle spasms in my stomach.” It would also slow down my reaction time, not making me able to drive or do daily tasks efficiently. I don’t believe in medication and I certainly would not succumb to being a person that lived off of it. Through it all, the gym was my therapy. Working out was my form of ‘medication’. Getting through an intense workout relieved the incredible stress I was under and made me feel alive. It dulled the pain and made me feel strong.

Every competition prep I go through, and every time I step foot on stage, I am eternally grateful. It’s a constant reminder of how strong I am, physically and mentally, and how much stronger I will continue to grow through the process.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?

My social life and fitness life have over the years combined into one. The majority of the people I surround myself with are in the fitness industry and practice a similar lifestyle.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
My fitness journey began in middle school when I came to terms with my obesity in high school and decided to make a change! I began to train as much as I could and in doing so fell in love with the gym the second I touched a dumbbell. I became addicted to the results and took off in the fitness industry from there. I took up Mixed Martial Arts as another form of fitness and challenging my body. I then became a personal trainer/nutritionist to become more knowledgeable in the industry as well. I always found a certain serenity in the gym. I have now set my sights in  competing in the NPC, I enjoy the sport and love pushing myself to new goals! The biggest passion is helping others on their fitness aspirations and give them the support system and direction I didn’t have.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
While obtaining by Bachelors in Nutrition Science from Baylor University, I learned not only about the importance of nutrition, but also the importance of regular strength training. After changing my lifestyle through diet and exercise and seeing first hand the effects it had on my body and health I desired to learn more and help others with achieving their fitness and nutrition goals. As my passion for weight training and nutrition grew, I decided to start competing and placed first in my second show. I take great pride in this because I’ve always done my own nutrition and training. I now have plans to continue competing, and grow my career as a bikini competitor.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
For me, I would rather get in a killer workout than go out drinking or partying. But that doesn’t mean I still don’t like to be social or go out, especially if there’s good food involved ;) My boyfriend enjoys working out as well. We often have gym date-nights that are followed up with a trip to Whole Foods and then a good movie. I also have a lot of friends at the gym, so my fitness life sort of makes up part of my social life.

Who do you look up to as a motivation in the sport?
Anyone who is dedicated and passionate about what they do, yet humble and willing to help others.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
I have always been involved with training, it started when I was young and was picked on a lot, bullied at school. I had a huge love for muscle, Arnold and Sylvester ( Commando and Rambo were all over my room) It wasn’t until I was 21 that I met my first coach that opened the world of REAL training to me.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
My social life takes a back seat as my training and my filming are priority. I’m known in my industry (film) for always being on point. There is NO off season for me and I always have to keep my body at 7 days out from shooting/filming. Very demanding, but I love the challange.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
I got into training Muay Thai at an early age as a stress outlet and means to protect myself during my tumultuous youth. After an injury training Muay Thai prevented me from continuing fight training I needed a new outlet. I ended up getting into weightlifting and my body, already pretty muscular, adapted easily. Friends started encouraging me to compete and after a couple years of convincing, I caved and did my first show. From then on I was hooked.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
I choose to make it one and the same. I’m pretty shy and introverted so I generally get my fill of socializing in and around my training, ProSupps demos, expos, social media networking, and competitions.

Who do you look  up to in the fitness industry?
My peers that are down to earth, raw, honest people. I have no patience for artificial facades. Anyone can paint a pretty picture of perfection, it’s those that are the most real, baring their character and mind, that I am most inspired by.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
I was ultimately training in the rugby ‘offseason’ to put on some size, found a real passion and after understanding nutrition, saw notable changes. I was hooked.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?Dedication and time management is most certainly important when you are committed to achieving goals. I feel the better prepared i am the easier this balance becomes. If you want serious results, the hardest work is the preparation, be it food or time.  Get this right and the rest is easy.

Who do you look up to as a motivation in the sport? I have always seen Devin (devinphysique) as a true inspiration to me. Reason being his stature is similar to mine, and i feel he has a functional frame, meaning you can still achieve a normal(ish) life whilst achieve aesthetic greatness.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
When I was 16 my mother decided to do a bikini figure competition and watching how she prepped and the changes it made to her body caught my attention. And it wasn’t until I watched her at the comp along with all the other male bodybuilders that I decided that is what I want to look like and started my journey of trial and error along with researching the correct ways to train and eat, in conjunction with the best supplementation.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
I must admit it wasn’t easy at the start but the more I stuck to this lifestyle the more I was recognized by my friends as being the one who is the “fitness freak”. Which doesn’t bother me, as having the reputation of being the person who trains hard and eats clean most of the time is the best reputation to have!

How did you get into fitness/competing?
Getting into fitness started later in life for me and was an amazing escape from problems etc, this turned into a passion that has just grown stronger ever since.
With competing I just love the challenge.. the whole process gives my training purpose and keeps me committed to my goals.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
I wouldn’t say my social and fitness life is at a balance haha fitness is my job and also passion so it takes up the majority of my time but making sure I plan my workouts, meals, clients etc it makes it easier to free up time for the greater things in life like family and friends.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
I was registered for martial arts/Ju-Jistu class at the age of 6 years as a results of being constantly bullied at school for being the tall and skinny kid. I started competing in martial arts at the age of 7 y/o and obtained my black belt at the age of 17 y/o. In 10th grade, I came across a hidden room, a dusty school gym. I then decided to added some meat on those bones. Being fast and smart was not enough so I decided to put more energy and time into bodybuilding. 16 years later, I still haven’t stop on those progress. They went from dreams to goals.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
My social life is also my fitness life. I don’ have any issues balancing both of them. I actually think they compliment each other.

Who do you look up to as a motivation in the sport? I admire everyone’s accomplishment  and commitment in this industry.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
It was May 2014 when I started training, my best friend started training and seeing her body change was crazy, I started following some fitness women too and it motivated me to have a go myself as I love to keep fit. I wanted to get into modelling and tried to through the fashion route but it really wasn’t for me. I just looked skinny and unwell so I saw fitness as another way I could possibly make my dream reality!

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
It is very hard to, but I have the occasional nights out which makes me appreciate them more. My social group has changed since I have been training so I just find my social is at the gym or fitness related which is more than enough for me. Everyone I am around now is positive and motivating!

Who do you look up to as a motivation in the sport? Michelle Lewis will always be my idol. I just think she is amazing and seeing her pictures and posts motivate me every day. How did you get into fitness/competing?
I always had a competitive nature, coming from a martial arts background where I trained to knock out and beat my opponent, having the work ethics and mental endurance made the transition to fitness fairly seamless. I train slightly differently, but with the same warrior mentality. After my last fight in 2009, I was looking for something to keep me focused and challenged. I did my first fitness show in October 2010 and got hooked. The rest is history!

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
When you are in the fitness industry, especially at the professional level, your social circle changes and so does your definition of being social. Balancing social and fitness agendas is about making choices based on your priorities. My fiancée and I are both part of the ProSupps family and we train together, our small circle of friends are either in the fitness world as well or they fully embrace and support our lifestyle.  Social outing for us means we are going out for a cheat meal, now that’s a party!

Who do you look up to as a motivation in the sport?
Ms. Olympia Lenda Murray has been my inspiration since I started competing, and my favorite Mr. Olympia is Ronnie Coleman but I have a huge amount of respect for anyone that promotes the sport of body building in a classy way, especially as women. As a corporate professional, there is a certain level of class that I am expected to portray even while on stage with 80% of my body showing. With social media today, there is always eyes on you and people will judge based on what you show them.

How did you get into fitness/competing?
I have competed as a track and field athlete since I was 9 years old and I was the New Zealand champion for my age in Shot Put and Discus. I also competed in the high jump and short distance sprints. I left home to go to university when I was 18. I became very unhealthy, eating and drinking anything and everything! I gained 10kg and realised I needed to make a change and get back to the fit and healthy person I used to be. I joined a local gym and it became my life. I loved the feeling of working out and seeing my body change. One of the trainers at my gym asked me if I had thought about competing before but at that stage I didn’t really know much about the sport. I then started following a lot of Bikini competitors on social media who really motivated me and I finally gained the confidence to compete as well. In May 2015 I competed in my first NZIFBB bikini competition where I won the Novice category and took out the Overall Division as well.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
I don’t go out too much (anymore!) as I spend most of my spare time doing fitness related activities (no hangover!). I used to struggle to balance my social life and fitness life but over the last year they have somehow combined! I now enjoy spending time with people who are interested in the same things as me, so that way I can enjoy doing both.

Who do you look up to as a motivation in the sport?
I look up to Michelle Lewin and Ainsley Rodriguez! Even though I do not know them personally, I follow them on social media and they are a huge inspiration to me!

I first competed in 2014 after many years of wanting to do it. I took the plunge and I can honestly say it’s the best thing I have ever done and I will be competing for many more years to come.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?

I would love to participate in another Pro show in the future but at this moment the US/ZAR exchange rate is preventing this from happening this year  I plan to continue training and assisting local athletes with their posing up to Arnolds and for the rest of the local competitive season, whilst remaining a proud part of Team ProSupps SA. There is real excitement for the Arnold Classic Africa in Johannesburg in May and I can’t wait to be part of the ProSupps team representing at this historical event.

DURING 8 YEARS I COMPITED AS A HIGH PERFORMANCE ATHLETE AT DEPARTAMENTAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL.
AT THE BEGINNING IT WAS HARD OF COURSE BUT DISCIPLINE AND DETERMINATION GETS YOU WHEREVER YOU WANT. I WON EVERY TOURNAMENT, IN FACT, SOME TIMES I DID NOT EVEN HAD TO QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS BECAUSE NOBODY WANTED TO SIGN TO BE AT THE SAME WEIGHT CATEGORY I WAS. MY GREATEST ACOMPLISHMENT WAS IN MEXICO ON 2010 WHERE I GOT FIRST PLACE IN A WORLD OPEN.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO FITNESS AND COMPETING?
I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED TO TRAIN, I HAVE NEVER BEEN THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT JUST STAYS AT HOME I HAVE TO MOVE AND DO SOMETHING.
AFTER THE NATIONALS OF 2012 I RETIRED FROM COMPETITION AND TOOK A TIME OFF FOR A WHILE BUT I CONTINUED TRAINNING, I NEVER STOPPED, IN FACT, I FOUGHT AGAIN IN 2015 AT A NATIONAL PERFORMED IN CARTAGENA.
ON 2014 I STARTED WITH FUNCTIONAL TRAINNING AND I COMPITED IN A COUPLE OF BOOTCAMPS (LOL I AM A VERY COMPETITIVE PERSON) BUT I WAS STARTING TO GET MORE AND MORE INTERESTED INTO THE FITNESS SO I SIGNED UP TO A GYM AND AS A MARTIAL ARTIST I AM THOUGHT TO ALWAYS DO MY BEST AND TO ME THE GYM GENERATED FULL PASSION. IT IS DEFINETALY A LIFESTYLE FOR ME.

HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR SOCIAL LIFE AND FITNESS LIFE?
FOR ME THERE IS NO NEED TO MAKE A SEPARATION BECAUSE TO ME ITS ALL A LIFESTYLE AND I LIKE TO BE SURROUNDED BY PEOPLE WHO SHARED THE SAME PASSION I DO OTHERWISE I GUESS I WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO TALK TO LOL.
THE BALANCE COMES FROM WITHIN AND IT IS REFLECTED ON EVERYTHING YOU DO IN YOUR DAILY LIFE.

WHO DO YOU LOOK UP TO IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY?
I LOOK UP FOR PEOPLE THAT SET AN EXAMPLE FOR BEING REAL AND THAT TRAIN BECAUSE THE MAIN INTEREST IS TO IMPROVE THEIR PERFORMANCE MORE THAN FAME. I AM A GREAT FAN OF WOMEN LIKE ASHLEY HORNER, BROOKE HENCE AND OF COURSE PAIGE HATHAWAY I LOVE HER. FROM COLOMBIA I ADMIRE TWO OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS KIARA WHO IS A MACROFITNESS ATHLETE AND MARCELA WHO’S ACCOUNT MANAGER OF QUEST COLOMBIA. THEY ARE BOTH VERY ENCOURAGING TO ME.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO FITNESS AND COMPETING?

2012 physique of the week 4th 2012/13 mens physique finalist, 2015 IFBB amateur Olympia Muscle Model champion. Feature on the Team BodyPower website UK, shot in February edition 2016 flex magazine.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO FITNESS AND COMPETING?
Well as I was higher education and the need to study was restricting my progression in track, I felt I still need to do some forms of physical activity. I started down one of my local gyms call The Capitol Gym, where I started weight lifting in order to sculpt my physique. I was having a look at my progress one day when a member of staff came up to me congratulating me on physique and asked me do I compete. When I answered no he was shocked and recommended I do so. That’s when I entered my first fitness modelling competition and came 4th. After that I got a real good feel for it and never looked back.

HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR SOCIAL LIFE AND FITNESS LIFE?
It is difficult really as time waits for no man, so for me everything is about priority. I will always have to work first then if I’m in season the gym will always take priority over socialising. When I want to be social with friends this will usually be planned in advance as most of my friends have children anyway. Off season I’m a little more relaxed about the gym, as long as I get a good 4 session heavy a week I can usually be content. ; )

    Marissa Velasquez

    Total Weight loss: 80 lbs

    City/State: Valencia, CA
    Occupation: Full time graduate student

Total time it took to lose that weight: January 2013 to October 2013 (10 months)

What made you decide to make a change?
I made the decision to change not only my body and my lifestyle because I was not happy with the person I saw staring back at me from the mirror. I was always athletic and fit as a teenager, but didn’t make dieting and fitness a priority while in college and gained a massive amount of weight. I fell into the vicious cycle of over-eating and didn’t want to spend the rest of my life struggling to find a way out.

How has fitness changed/impacted your life?
Fitness has changed my life full circle! I’ve never felt happier and healthier than I do now! Fitness has motivated me to continue to fight for my dreams and goals and to accept the temporary sacrifices I have to make to achieve them.

What ProSupps products helped you reach your goals?
Dnpx II, L-Carnitine, Halotropin, ISO-late, Glutamine, AminoLinx, Hyde, Jekyll, and Crash.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
The way I balance my social life and my fitness life is to tie them together in a pretty bow! I have motivated both my parents with my weight loss and we now go on hikes and more active adventures together as a family. I train daily with my long-term boyfriend and with my new close group of friends. And when we all have a minute we try and balance our cheat meals together! :)

What keeps you motivated to keep pushing?
Since my drastic weight loss I’ve managed to fulfill a lifetime dream of mine to help motivate me to push and work harder every day. I compete with The WBFF as a Bikini Diva! I’ve done two show in the past year and have scheduled myself to do two more this year!! My goal is to receive my ProCard, become a sponsored athlete and a team member on a fantastic staff of bikini coaches!

Anything else you’d like to share?
There’s no such thing as “too late” or “too much weight”. Anything is possible if you are willing enough to fight with all you have and follow through all the way to the end!! A fit lifestyle is one that involves a team effort and a constant reevaluation of your motivational drives and goals. It doesn’t get easier, but it sure becomes more of an adventure each day and leads you down an amazing eye-opening journey of self-discovery, strength, self-love and happiness!!

    Nicole Palacio

    Total Weight loss: 16 lbs

    City/State: Tracy, CA
Occupation: Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, Photographer

Total time it took to lose that weight: 12 weeks

What made you decide to make a change?
I had found a deep love for yoga back in 2010. I was encouraged to add some weight training after practicing yoga for 2 years solid. I started my journey into the bodybuilding world in 2012, competing in my 1st bikini competition in 2013. I was forced to give my body a break in 2014 due to an injury which took my out for about 6 months. I then just found it really difficult to find the motivation to get back in the swing of things. I would be 100% for a few weeks and then fall back into my slump. I was encouraged to participate in the ProSupps 60 Day Challenge by my boyfriend and once I had that goal to achieve it was GAME ON from there on out. I am now working once again towards making it back on that stage for my 3rd bikini competition.

How has fitness changed/impacted your life?
Fitness has been an amazing tool and outlet for me. It has helped me break a few bad habits such as excessive binge eating, drinking and smoking, has been a huge stress relieve during some of the the most difficult times of my life, and has also been a great aid in working through my depression and anxiety, which is a daily battle in itself.

What ProSupps products helped you reach your goals?
I am absolutely in love with the protein (glazed donut and vanilla are my favorites). I love to to bake with them and add them to a few of my staple foods, such as coffee, oatmeal, and Greek yogurt.I love Mr Hyde to fuel my intense workouts.

I also enjoy taking DNPX Powder to help give me that extra push that I sometimes need throughout my day.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
Fitness has become both my social and everyday life. It is now my career. I love sharing my passion with others, teaching and helping others find their owe way to a healthier and happier self. I especially love sharing yoga with the children in the schools, here in Tracy, as their PE class. It is such a blessing to teach them how fun and rewarding fitness can be, even at such a young age. Of course I allow myself to let loose on special occasions and treat myself now and again, but I am always making sure that I am mindful in all that I do.

What keeps you motivated to keep pushing?
I keep motivated by remembering how far I’ve come. I remind myself daily that I am worth it and to never give up on myself.

Anything else you’d like to share?
I would like to remind everyone out there that are just embarking on their own fitness journey that you will have highs and lows throughout your journey, but I promise that fighting through your low points will make your high moments taste even sweeter knowing and remembering what you made it through to get there. Remember to always do your best at keeping your eye on your goal, never give up on yourself because you are worth it, and don’t be to hard on yourself.

  • Taco Yarbrough

    Total Weight loss: 126.4 lbs

    City/State: Seattle, WA
    Occupation: Salon owner/ Personal trainer

Total time it took to lose that weight:
It took me about 1 year 10 1/2 months.

What made you decide to make a change?
My doctor told me that I was pre hypertension(High Blood pressure) and I had one more apt before they were to start testing me for diabetes, also that if I continued at my weight I was at heart attack risk. I had a Wife and a baby girl that needed me… So I started to fight for my life mid February of 2012.

How has fitness changed/impacted your life?
Fitness has totally changed my life!! It saved it! I was a insecure, heavily depressed young man scarred on the inside, with a falsified happiness on the outside. I wore a 56 pant and a 5 XL shirt and could only shop at Big and Tall stores. I’m now in a 38/36 pant and a XL/L shirt! I no longer am Pre hypertension not pre diabetic! My life is definitely changed.

What ProSupps products helped you reach your goals?
I have used ProSupps from the beginning of my Journey. I started off with DNPX for Fat burner, Karbolic for post workout and Dr. Jekyll. I’ve since added I-Load, Halotrophin, and Vanish which I absolutely love!

How do you balance your social life and fitness life? Lol, it’s been a lil hard being that I’m so committed to reaching my goals, I’m learning to balance now and change my mindset realizing that this is my lifestyle now and I will not stop! So my family, career, and friends get some Taco time.

What keeps you motivated to keep pushing?
My 4 year old daughter Harlem tells me and my wife she wants to be a muscle girl because her daddy is a muscle man!! I want to continue to be a living example for not only her but my family, and whoever is going through what I came from. I never thought I could ever get to this place and I’m thankful!

Anything else you’d like to share?
Back in 2011 I was casted 2 times for the Biggest Loser along with my brother and both times we didn’t make the last round. Nothing against the show, I Love that show.. But I had to find the warrior in me and fight for my life! Don’t wait for anyone to do it for you… You have the power to start for yourself. Thank you ProSupps for being there from the beginning with amazing products that actually work!!

I am living proof!! Thank you!!

Total Weight loss: 80 lbs (total) 21 lbs using Vanish

    City/State: Boston, MA
    Occupation: Waitress

Total time it took to lose that weight:
Since 2011 to present but used Vanish for 12 weeks.

What made you decide to make a change?
I was tired of being unhealthy and feeling bad about my body. I didn’t have energy to do the things I wanted and was too young to be a couch potato and not care.

How has fitness changed/impacted your life?
Fitness has helped me become more focused and goal oriented in everything I do. It helped me find a passion. Before I was just living day to day. Now I have a purpose! I want to share my story with others and help them change their lives for the better. I want to become a personal trainer so that I can pay it forward. I also became a bikini competitor which has helped me become disciplined and has taught me how amazing the human body is and what it can accomplish when it’s given proper nutrition and exercise.

What ProSupps products helped you reach your goals?
I currently use Vanish Fat Burner, ProSupps Whey Protein, AminoLinx and Hyde on a regular basis.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
I have a very busy life but I do make time for socializing. I dedicate myself during the week to focusing on the gym, work and my family and allow myself the weekends to spend time with friends and socialize! It’s important to have fun or else you’ll never stick with it. It’s a lifestyle change, not a quick fix.

What keeps you motivated to keep pushing?
I stay motivated with social media, having friends with similar fitness interests, and my goals: to become a fitness pro, fitness model, personal trainer and inspire people to change their lifestyle.

Anything else you’d like to share?
I would like to thank ProSupps Ambassador Brittany Mullen for always encouraging me and supporting me! Lastly if you’re just starting out your weight loss journey don’t get discouraged if things aren’t happening as fast as you’d like! It took me so long to get to where I am today and if I gave up because it was taking too long I’d never be where I am right now. Remember patience and consistency are the keys to achieving your goals!

How did you get into fitness/competing?
Being a former NCAA athlete and competitive all my life. Competing was introduced to me by one of my clients. It was great ! It allowed me to continue to be competitive and train as an athlete like I was accustom too.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life?
I believe creating a positive balance between the two is very important. Allowing yourself to enjoy the social life and outings while keeping in mind that you have fitness gold you’re looking to achieve. Setting up one day throughout every few weeks where you can reconnect with your social circles.

Who do you look up to in the fitness industry?

I believe we are all role models and someone out there is looking at us as motivation. From beginners to experienced.
