Tired of eating the same breakfast every day? Put away your oatmeal and egg whites this week for five new meal ideas to start your day with!
- ProSupps Protein Pancakes – My personal favorite!
Blend ½ cup of oats, ½ scoop of ProSupps Vanilla Whey protein powder, 3 egg whites, 2 tablespoons of light almond milk, and cinnamon to taste. Pour batter into three small pancakes on pan. Add fruit, nut butter, or protein syrup when ready. Mixing ½-1 scoop of ProSupps Chocolate Cake Protein powder with a little bit of water makes for a tasty and healthy pancake frosting!
- Egg White Muffins – Great for meal prep!
Grab a muffin pan and some egg whites! In a large bowl mix egg whites and your favorite chopped veggies. You can mix it up with green and red peppers and onions one day, then spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms the next. You can also add in precooked ground meat. Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray and pour in egg mixture until ½ way full then bake on 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- Protein Yogurt Bowl
Take one serving of non-fat Greek yogurt. Mix in ½ scoop of ProSupps Vanilla Whey, strawberries, blueberries, unsweetened shredded coconut, and sliced almonds. Quick and easy!
- Breakfast Wrap
Prepare three egg whites scrambled with chopped onions, tomatoes, and spinach and two pieces of low-sodium turkey bacon. Put the bacon and egg mixture into a whole-wheat tortilla. Add low-fat cheese if preferred. Roll into small burrito and serve with pico de gallo. Also tasty when using shredded chicken in place of turkey bacon!
- Smoked Salmon Toast
Fish is good for breakfast too! Add a small amount of low-fat cream cheese spread (consider using Greek yogurt) to a toasted piece of whole-wheat bread. Add spring mix, red onions, and chives and top with smoked salmon.
