IFBB Figure Pro, Allison Frahn, is much more than just an athlete at ProSupps. She is also a valuable piece to our accounting department as our Business Intelligence Manager. Her passion and dedication in the gym translates to any tasks she takes on. If you've ever had the pleasure of meeting or speaking to Allison in person, you would agree that she has an infectious positive attitude, so in talking to Allison we wanted to get a feel for what may have contributed to shaping who she is today.
What was your childhood like?
I would think like the average kid… highs, lows, growing joys, growing pains, etc… a whole slew of emotions.
Did you play sports?
Yes, but not competitively. I was in everything from softball, basketball, soccer, track and field… but never really took it seriously. Softball was, by far, my favorite!
Where did you grow up?
New York and New Jersey.
Who did you look up to?
My older sister, Kristen. She has always been a source of inspiration for me and has always pushed me to give it my all.
Is your family active and/or into fitness?
Yes, my sisters and my dad especially. My whole family was supportive, because they always wanted me to pursue my dreams and goals. They always have a genuine and sincere trust and confidence in me.
Any family members compete or play sports?
My sisters and I all train but we don't play sports.
Does your family support your lifestyle?
110%! I don't know if I would have been able to achieve as much as I have without their unconditional love and support.
Were they on-board from the beginning or did it take time?
They supported me from Day 1! I'm so blessed to have a family who have allowed me to tackle anything I set my mind to without judgement. I believe that having such a supportive and understanding family has truly shaped me into the woman I am today.
Are you married, engaged, in a relationship?
Single and loving it. I get to focus and put my time towards building my career, but I'm totally open if the right person comes along. I have never been the type of person who needs another to feel validated. I actually really like my alone time.
Animals? How many and what kind?
No animals at the moment but I'm a huge dog lover.
INTRO TO FITNESS
When did you first get introduced to fitness?
I started training when I was getting ready for Spring Break my sophomore year in college.
Who made the intro?
Well, I was inspired by my roommate, Melissa, but I pretty much taught myself.
What made you decide to pursue it?
I would always read magazines like Oxygen, MF Hers, etc. and wanted to be like one of those women!
What was your goal when you first stepped into the gym?
To build a lean physique that I could be proud of.
IMPACT OF FITNESS
How do you feel fitness has changed your life?
It changed everything! It gave me more confidence, happiness, self-assurance, accomplishment, and peace of mind.
What are your goals now compared to when you first started?
I went from wanting to look like one of the girls in the magazines to being one of those girls in the magazines… and becoming a 5-time Figure Olympian!!!
For ME and ONLY ME! It gave me a great platform to showcase my passion.
Was that your plan from the beginning? If no, how did it happen?
Not at all… it truly started with a dumbbell workout… .and… the… .rest… is… .history!
What division/class do you compete in?
IFBB Pro Figure.
What have you accomplished so far?
I graced the Olympia stage 5 years in a row from 2012-2016.
What's next on your agenda?
It's in God's hands. I live in the moment and know that everything that is meant to be will be.
What's your ultimate goal?
To inspire others and be wealthy in all areas of life, including mind, body, and spirit. Be a light that shines bright for others.
