Getting to Know Jaimie:
What are your current (and past if you want to include) sports/hobbies?
I have always been an athlete and love doing anything competitive. I grew up loving track and field, so throughout my fitness career, my go-to for conditioning was sprints. Lately, I have been enjoying long distance running. I had told myself for years that I wasn't a born runner but now in my 30’s it’s become a form of therapy for me. I have also found a passion for yoga, which I do every morning; it sets the pace for the day and provides a balance between the heavy lifting in the gym.
What is your biggest recent accomplishment? What does it mean to you?
My most recent accomplishment was more of an inner self-accomplishment: I overcame the mindset that I was living in. My mindset had been one in which I thought that I had to do, look, and work a certain way that just wasn’t me; I wasn't following my heart. I broke that cycle and took a risk to discover what really made me happy. My mindset has since changed which, in turn, has improved my relationship with my family and myself.
What are your top 3 goals for the future?
I have many goals for the future and I believe that setting goals and setting the bar higher are both important for self-growth. To name a few, I would like to:
- Go back to school
- Buy land in Texas near my family
- Backpack throughout Europe
What is something that people don't know about you?
I am the ultimate morning person. I usually wake around 5:45a.m. without an alarm clock. I honestly cannot sleep in no matter how little sleep I had the night before. When the sun rises, I am up - I just love the morning!
What is your favorite food?
My absolute favorite food is sushi. I used to love those "cheat" meals, such as pizza and peanut butter, but in finding a balance with my diet, I only crave sushi.
What is your favorite supplement? Why?
My favorite supplement is ... It is an athletes multi-vitamin that contains a full spectrum of bio-available vitamins and minerals, along with CLA, acetyl-L-Carnitine, raspberry ketones, and pre- and pro-biotics. Prior to taking this, I would have to take a variety of supplements, which became quite costly. ProSupps set the bar with this product and I have never felt better since I began taking it!
What is your favorite quote?
"Whether you think you can, or you think you cant, you’re right" Henry Ford
